Dr. Lin’s clinical expertise centers on working with individuals across the lifespan, with a particular focus on eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and complex relationship issues. She is especially interested in supporting clients navigating cross-cultural challenges, identity development, and the adjustments that accompany major life transitions.
While working with clients, Dr. Lin takes an integrative and relational approach and incorporates various modalities, including a psychodynamic framework, Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and evidence-based modalities such as Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness-based approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Dr. Lin views therapy through an integrative and relational lens, recognizing the importance of both internal resilience and external resources. By fostering self-insight and utilizing a strength-based perspective, she helps clients build meaningful tools to navigate life’s complexities. In therapy, she balances behavioral strategies with deep self-exploration, creating a supportive and validating environment where clients feel empowered to grow.
As an immigrant and bilingual psychologist, she believes therapy is most cathartic when it is captured in a client’s native language and understood within its unique cultural context.
